العربية ليست طبقة ترجمة تُركَّب على منتج إنجليزي. إنها تغيّر التصميم والطباعة والإيقاع.
Direction is the obvious part and the easy part. The harder work is typographic: Arabic needs more leading, no letter-spacing tricks, and headlines that cannot rely on tight Latin display metrics.
Numbers complicate it further. Prices and countdowns run left to right inside right-to-left sentences, which means every figure needs isolating or the digits reorder unpredictably.
A literal translation produces text that is technically correct and reads like nobody wrote it.
And copy has to be rewritten rather than converted. A headline built on an English cadence needs a new Arabic idea, not a substituted phrase — which is slower, and the only way it reads as native.
