delivery bags stacked at a restaurant door

Jordan already has excellent food delivery. The regional aggregators moved enormous volume, built rider networks, and taught an entire market to expect food at the door in half an hour. None of that is what we are competing on.

A delivery aggregator monetises convenience. Its job is breadth — every restaurant, every cuisine, fast — and its economics rest on delivery fees and commission on full-price orders. Discounting is a marketing campaign, run occasionally, funded by somebody.

On a delivery app, a discount is a promotion. On Forsa, the discount is the product.

That single difference reshapes everything downstream. We rank by value rather than popularity. We treat pickup as equal to delivery instead of as a fallback. We show the in-store price next to ours, because a marketplace built on saving money has to prove the saving.

It also means we are not trying to list every restaurant in Amman. A partner joins Forsa to price competitively, fill quiet hours and recover surplus — a commercial decision, not a distribution one. Plenty of excellent restaurants have no reason to do that, and they belong on the aggregators instead.

For customers the honest framing is: use a delivery app when you want a specific thing quickly, and Forsa when the question is what can I get tonight that is genuinely good value. Most people will keep both.
